BELMULLET
Belmullet is a town located in county Mayo, on the West coast of Ireland. It is situated. It is a coastal town with a population of approximately two thousand. The town's name Belmullet because it means the 'Mouth of the mullet'.
Belmullet has a couple of bays, Broadhaven Bay and Blacksod Bay, with a canal named 'Carters Canal' which flows through Belmullet.
Belmullet is part of the Mayo Gaeltacht, but it is an Irish and English speaking town. The town hosts Irish Language Summer schools, during the Summer break.
Belmullet is popular for fishing, for both sea fishing off Broadhaven Bay, and also fresh water fishing. Watersports are also very popular, including sailing, Kitesurfing and windsurfing.
